Post-Christmas

Okaaaay - Sam Witwicky
So Christmas came and went. I hope all of you had a great time on Christmas. ^__^ I sure had fun time.

On Tuesday, I was on a pre-Christmas party for women (only). Had fun at there with friends whom I haven't seen for a while, talked, drank glogg, took some photos until my camera was warning about a low battery. u_u; (And I was a bit sad to hear that one of our friend couldn't make it because she was at the hospital, having a bronchitis. Poor thing. Now I heard she's out of the hospital but is on two weeks' quarantine at home.

On Christmas Eve, my brother, his girlfriend and my sister came. We ate Christmas dinner together. While we were eating, two of my aunts (dad's sisters) and their families dropped by and gave us more presents - which we opened later on the day. (Yes, in Finland we get our presents on Christmas Eve and not on Christmas Day.) Their visit took us by surprise. XD

After the dinner, us "kids" went to my room to wait for the Santa Claus to arrive with the presents. We women talked while my brother took a nap on my bed. (He does that when he has a chance. ;P ) Then came the time to get the presents and so on, and so on... XDD I got very useful stuff, which I really needed. Plus, got a yukata or kimono - which I did *not* expect at all! =D Woot! Love it~! ♥

On Christmas Day, I spent most of the time at home... listening to my sister cough hard. ^^; Later on the evening, went to see a movie at a friend's place, with [info]zardramist and few other friends. Saw the Swedish movie: "Men who hates women" (Män som hatar kvinnor). I think I was the only one who actually watched the movie, 'cause things there went... over the head most of the time. (Sex-talks, mild flirting/teasing between two guys, joking around... talking about their adventurous sex-lives... XDDD ) I did listened their talks with one ear but my eyes and mind were on the movie. ;P

After the movie, [info]zardramist came to my place for the night and she stayed here the whole day. ^^ We watched two more movies, talked, relaxing and enjoyed eating the cheesecake my mom made. ♥

Oh yeah, sure was fun these few days. ;D

I also saw "Avatar" 3D movie on last Saturday. It was my first time to see a 3D movie! I love the movie, also the 3D~! The story was good, how they made the movie was superb! And the na'vi tribes: ah~! ♥ Love it!!

I so wanna see it again. T-T Have to wait for a while, until I have found what I need from the sales: new pair of boots.

Now then, what to do after the Christmas...? Well, the sales are on and I need to find pair of boots (like I mentioned earlier) and/or ice-skates! If I don't find any boots, then I'm gonna get myself new ice-skates. I wanna go to ice-skating~!

I got few plans for my homepage. ^^ I'm planning to re-design "Crimson Ninja"-pages plus make a new pic for the front page. I will start this new re-designing at the beginning of new year, while looking for a daily job. Again. u_u; Before Christmas, I got two rejected answers from the places to where I sent the applications. Blaah. *groans* (Commissions, anyone?)

Also got new pics on their way - the ones I didn't get to finish on time before Christmas. ^^

Christmas is approaching...

Getting ready - Bumblebee
Only eight days left and it's Christmas Eve. In Finland, we get our presents on Eve and not in the morning on Christmas Day. (Dunno why, but it have always been like that.) I already receive couple of gifts already and also bought something for myself: "Transformers the Movie Universe"-book! =D =D =D *Now* I can practice on painting actual Autobots and/or Decepticons! Too bad it didn't have Soundwave in it... =3

Anyway, I have been busy or some-what occupied with something else. Social life... u_u;; I *really* need a job right now... for five months! TAT Let's say that the head men of the employment office and their decisions SUCKS! Big time. Argh.

Moving on, moving on... don't wanna think of that matter at this time of the season. Christmas! Christmas is on its way! Yaay~! I have been working on various lil' projects for Christmas: bought gifts for my family, making gifts to my friends... been on an annual Christmas shopping spree at Helsinki... and making something for the "Crimson Ninja"-page. ^__^ I just hope I have it done before Christmas.

Also, last Saturday, I was on Bakanat's (our local anime/manga group) Xmas party and it sure was fun. While [info]zardramist and [info]dies_dandles were enjoying themselves with watching two guys taking the roles of Bella and Edward (from Twilight), I was playing video games with Dino, Miuku, [info]teikku and occasionally, with two other guys. Good lord, I played Pokémon-games... O_o OMG. But after that, I played Transformers 2. Again, it was fun! Even though I forgot how to shoot and battle. XD Hey, it has been a month from the last game. ;P

Now, there another Xmas party coming, at Zardra's father's place. Only us women are in there. Can't wait. ;P

This Saturday, though, I will go watch "Avatar" from the theatre. My first 3D-movie... also, can't wait to see it.

Oliver

So mysterious - Gambit
Today I went to see the musical play "Oliver!" at the theatre - with my mom, three cousins and two of cousins' girlfriend and boyfriend.

It was good, however, I liked "The Cats" much better. ^^ The actor of Oliver was soo cute~! Adorable 8-year-old boy... If I remember correct, he used to be at the evening club, where my brother's girlfriend works at. Small town.

And, from the play, I recognized a familiar face as well - one of the high school students I knew when I was in 3rd year. Woah, nice to see how far he have reached. :D He was part of the high school's choir.

After the play mom and I invited the rest of us to have a cup of coffee at our place. It was nice to have them gathered around. =D

Now, the guests have left and it's time for peace and quiet. Tomorrow, is our country's Independence Day and I won't be doing *anything* stressful then. Just relax and enjoy the peace. ♥

On Wednesday, began [info]zardramist's and mine annual Xmas shopping trip to Helsinki. Unlike last previous years, this trip was special one.

Helsinki/Xmas trip )

And, there you have it. ^__^ The adventurous Helsinki Xmas shopping spree '09.

I noticed today, that I have been in Helsinki more than "few" times. O.o Okay, next year, I will try *not* to go to Helsinki so often. ^^;

Looking good...

Finally, I managed to take care my business with the employment office. Showing them the last papers they so much requested for... ^^; Still don't get it why they ask to know about how much I earned on January the 27th - May the 31st and on last month. =/ Oh well. I hope things will look brighter now.

Also got my pay check from the Scouters. ^__^ Yaaaay~! Got enough money for the Xmas shopping~! ♥ And next week, I will have some tax money back. ^o^b

Oh yeah, looking good... XDD

I know that "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" DVDs and Blu-Rays have arrived to US and some other countries on last month... Finland is about month late when it comes to DVDs, books and so on...

But today, I got to know that TF2: RotF arrives to Finland's stores on next week, November the 18th!! A week earlier from the previous info I got from online stores! Wohoo~!

So all you Finns out there, check out the latest mail from Citymarket and see for yourselves!

Se tulloopi pian~! Jeeee~! \^o^/ ♥

Alldayter at Plaza

  • Nov. 8th, 2009 at 10:58 AM
Getting ready - Bumblebee
Alldayter came and went... quite peacefully. Not much people were there at Youth House Plaza. ^^; And that we couldn't watch any movies/animes from the big screen... or get any dance songs... *sighs* All the players were behind the lock and we didn't have the keys for it.

Oh well, a minor setback. At least there were enough TVs and with the help of an XBox, we got to see "Dragonball: Evolution". Ugh, not recommended to die-hard DBZ fans. But it was entertaining to watch. So many fails. Never again, I will watch it. No way.

Oh, I got to play "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen"-game for the first time~! It was good~! Some of the characters' attack movements were awesome... and the voice actors of Optimus and Soundwave were great! Peter Cullen and Peter Jessop. And Megatron's voice in it was an old pro - like Cullen - Frank Welker (who also was Soundwave in TF G1 and the TF2-movie).

I thank Dino for instructing me how to play it. Spankyouu~ Dino~! ♥ Another round sometime, yes?

All in all, I had good time at Plaza. ^^

Well now...

Now there's a thought - Taylor Kitsch
Now, I can *really* sigh in relief about the illustrator's job.

Yesterday, I received the last comments of the final work and they all liked it. Awesome! ^__^

Now, I wait for the pay check and the letter of reference from them - so I can show it at the social office. I do hope after the visit at the social office goes well. That I would get the daily funds back. TAT Let's hope. ^^b

But I won't worry about it now, no. Today is a special day... our Bakanat-group (local Japanese pop-culture group, which is also known as anime/manga group), is going to have a Alldayter at Youth House Plaza!! At last!! The waited day has arrived!! Yaaay~! Meaning we are going to have lots of fun there: sauna, playing games, watching animes (I hope), just having fun at a big place!

My friend, Dino, is bringing her PlayStation so we can play "Transformers" (the movie-verse) game... *___* I get to try it for the first time! Can't wait!

Still got some hours to kill and I cleaned up on Thursday already... and so begins the drawing. ^^ ♥

Once again, out of job...

  • Nov. 5th, 2009 at 9:44 PM
Getting ready - Bumblebee
The job as an illustrator has ended. It ended yesterday. Well.. I think it ended. How come? You see, I was one day left from my schedule and yesterday I managed to sent the last pic to them, hoping to receive opinions about it. So far, no replies from them~! Expect for one who wrote the contract to me. She thought they are great - all of them. But I still need others' opinions about the last pic. If there is something to fix, then I will be working overtime. That's why I wonder if my job is over or not. Feh... u_u

I drew them two maps (completely made up maps). A huge pic from which you have to search for happenings that are forbidden while camping outdoors. A pic of a time machine and how to create one - no, nothing too futuristic like in sci-fi movies, no. It's a simple box that had 3 timers for month, day and a year. :D Fun~

To my surprise, I received extra work from them - draw animal cards so the kids can play mime with others guessing what animal she/he plays. ^__^ Of course, I get an extra payment from those as well. ;P

I might get my pay check on next month. It's part of their policy: everyone there receives their payments on month's first Tuesday. Well, obviously the first Tuesday of this month has already passed by...

Actually, I'm glad to get my paycheck on next month. Better save my money for December 'cause lot of things are going to happen then!

But now, I will try to relax, draw more pics of my own... do other stuff that I had to put aside.

The job & the weekend

  • Oct. 15th, 2009 at 4:52 PM
Relaxing - Taylor Kitsch
Hoo whee...

Working as an illustrator sure has good and bad sides. Good side is, I get to draw! Bad side is, deadlines and delayed replies. >_< That was at the beginning on this year.

This time... I'm actually on schedule. ♥

First stage in the job is done. Meaning, all the pics have been sketched out and sent to be shown at Scouters' meeting on weekend. =D (Emails are miracle...) Actually, I could've have them done days ago, but there was a "little" delay with some of the sample pics.

Anyway, sketches have been done on time! Now I can think about my weekend at my sister's place, in Helsinki. (It's always Helsinki...) Originally, I planned to rest on weekend but then I found out my 17-year-old cousin is going to Helsinki and she asked my sister if she could spend a night at her place. My sister agreed. But here's the funny part: after agreeing, my sister called *me* as a "back-up". O_o Why, you wonder? Because my sister haven't seen our cousin for 5 years and she kinda clueless about her. Not to mention, she wants *me* to keep some company to our cousin - because I see her almost every year. ^_^;;

Hmmm.... I wonder what kind of a weekend this will turn out to be...?

All in all: tomorrow, I'm going to Helsinki again. XD And no, won't be shopping there this time. I have to save my money to other usage...

PS. I finally received the contract from my boss, on Tuesday. ♥

Blog

I knew I forgot to mention... >_<

*ahem*

But yes, I got a blog at my website, Crimson Ninja: http://haikii.org/~ktiraam
In fact: Haikii.Org has a blog! (Mine happens to be connected to it.)

Haikii.Org's blog will contain updates and news about Haikii.Org. My blog contains more news about my situations, rants, updates about "Crimson Ninja" and maybe some rough sketches.

Now then: how are you~? ♥ I have been working since last Monday and almost have all the pics sketched out. Yaaay~! \^o^/ Only couple of more and then I have them sketched for next weekend. Then I'm off to Helsinki for one day and night on Friday.

Working again - for a month

  • Oct. 5th, 2009 at 5:46 PM
Happy - Taylor Kitsch
Hah!

Just when I thought I won't get a job, last Tuesday old classmate of mine (from youth and leisure instructor education) sent a text message, asking if I could draw few pics for her in short notice. The payment is very minimum but what the heck! It will help me on my current status...

So here I am, working as an illustrator again. Just last weekend I received the email about their requests and now I'm working on them. Still haven't the contract from them. I asked her to sent it via mail 'cause since time is short and there's *no* way I will waste my days by travelling back and forth. So I wait for the contract to arrive via postal mail. (I know, not very professional, but as I said: time is short - both for me *and* for them. There was no other way for it.) My friend told me she will have the contract sent. She got to or else I won't sent any pics for them. ;P

Oh yeah, almost forgot: I will draw for the scouters, again!! Because my classmate works for the scouters. (I'm turning into a scouter at this rate...) XD

I have less than two weeks to have the sketches done. However, I got time until to November to have them all drawn and coloured.

Yosssh~! *o* To work, then!

Do you know this Transformer? (SOLVED!!)

  • Oct. 3rd, 2009 at 11:09 PM
Defence! - Optimus Prime
'Cause I certainly don't know! XD Seriously, I don't. I need your help, Transformers-fans!

Transformer you see in the photos used to belong to my older brother, when he was a kid. It's one of the ORIGINAL Transformers, created by Takara in '80s. Takara's name is written on it to prove its origin.

I remember my brother having it as a gift (b-day gift, xmas gift... not sure) back in the '80s. I was little when he got it but I do remember it used to have flames over the hood and a cannon. As years go by, the cannon disappeared and the flames got "erased" - they were stickers and they don't last very long. (I do wonder how on earth did the other stickers last this long...? )

It is an Autobot. It used to have stickers on its wings - Autobot symbols. But they also got erased by time. u_u;

Years ago, when I was around 10-year-old, I claimed it because my brother didn't want it any more. And it have been on my shelf for years. Of course I still want to keep it, you don't find these from anywhere any more. ;P

Anyway... I wanna know who this is?! Help!

'Transformers, more than meet the eye' )

EDIT*EDIT*EDIT*

Now I know who's the mystery Transformer is! According to my friend, fullmetalstarscream from DA and to slightlymadhatter from y!gal, it's an Autobot called Tracks! One of the exclusive "Lucky Draw" additions! WOW!! (My bro was a lucky kid...)

slightlymadhatter even gave me a link to confirm it and yes, it really is him! Here's one link and also lyiint from y!gal gave this link to confirm it more.

I also looked for the episodes in which Tracks appears and yes, that's him alright. Same car. (Well, almost.) Only my Tracks colourings are different from both the pic and '80s series' versions, but then again... they re-designed Prowl in Animated. Along with other Transformers... ^^;

And the flames - as they show in the page - are the same! So are those cannons that have gone missing! Heh!

Yup, yup... this is him. Tracks. ^__^ ♥

So close...

GODDAMMIT!!

So close! I was *so* close of getting a job as an evening club instructor!! *huff* *huff*

About two weeks ago, I sent a job application to my old school 'cause they were looking for an evening club instructor for kids.

Finally, today, I received answer from them and about their decision. Only *three* persons (including me) have sent applications to them. O_o And they picked one person for the job. What made my jaw drop was the fact that *I'm* the next person they *would* have selected next, if the person they hired refuses the job. Or if she/he quits the job suddenly (Obviously, their new instructor hadn't refused the job... 'cause it began this Monday.)

O___O

ARRRGH!! SO CLOSE!! I WAS SO CLOSE!!!

*grumbles*

Huh? - Taylor Kitsch
Okay, now I'm confused.

Today there's a 5.50 € day at the movie theatre (meaning that one movie ticket will pay that much). I was planning to go to see "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" (finally) but then I found out that they don't show it anymore in Lahti!! I checked if "Public Enemies" (it appeared to the theatres earlier) is still on, and... it is.

O_o

WTF??

How come "Public Enemies" is still showing and "G.I. Joe" isn't?!

......

I don't get it at all.

*sighs* Another movie I missed watching from theatres... TAT

Oh, the drama at DA

  • Sep. 15th, 2009 at 9:41 AM
Should've known - Kakashi
O_o

There was a war zone going at DA.

The two artists (won't say the names 'cause they already had enough of drama) had a misunderstanding, which they *tried* to solve between them - at first. Then they wrote entries about their situations - both from their point of views and pointing out to the fans *not* get involved to this matter. Didn't help. That leaded to their fans' rampage... u_u;; The fans began to accuse each artists as "art thief" or a "tracer", calling other insulting names and claiming the other not following the other's wishes and requests.

After finding that out, both the artists told in their journals to their fans to stop sending nasty and insulting comments to each artists' front page.

Not gonna take anyone's side in this matter - I'm being neutral on this. I do admire fans who are loyal to their idols, but c'mon! Enough is enough! If the artists were trying to solve their misunderstanding *peacefully*, then leave it to them and honour their requests! If anyone wants to point out their opinions about the situation, do it rationally. Always re-read the comments that are about to be sent, to see if it sounds good and not insulting. If they keep sending insulting comments, then it's considered as a harassment.

Then again, the artists aren't innocent either. They *really* should have talk things through before this mess even begun. Other side did try to talk, the other ignored and wrote an entry that had "war" written as a subject. (That word just *screams* for a fight.) Not to mention, by writing those entries, they kinda "asked" for their fans to "help" out...

...And then began the drama. u_u;;

People, what do we learn from this? Do *not* make war over something little. Try to solve it peacefully. Fans: try *not* to harass the other side - that is *not* the way to solve things.

</end>

Going on a trip

Getting ready - Bumblebee
Tomorrow, I'm off to the family's annual trip. Meaning: going to see my uncle. We will be at his place for four days... at the countryside and away from the cities. Tell you truth, I need this trip! XD

Usually I leave my laptop at home, but this time I'm gonna need it. It's the only way for me to spend my nights there, watching movies and TV series, 'cause my uncle has one TV. Knowing my parents and uncle: they don't want to watch same programs with me. u_u; Also, I need my internet to take care of some business - job applications. ;P

Anyway, off to the countryside I go and to enjoy the nature's peace!
I will see you on internet~! ^__^ ♥

Refreshing bicycling

  • Jul. 30th, 2009 at 4:29 PM
Doubt - Wolverine
(Had to write something to get rid of the old entry. X3 )

Just returned from an hour and a half of bicycling. And boy, it was refreshing... even though it's pretty warm and sunny weather. Oh well, I had my bottle of cool water for the thirst.

I actually when on a shopping spree. There a new supermarket right near to my home and it was few minutes of bicycling to it. After the shopping there, I bicycled my way to the city. Before that I went to see my old home area - Mukkula - where I spent my early childhood. It have changed a lot... to the better direction. ^__^ ♥ (I wished I had my camera with me.) After the "little" detour, I bicycled to the city. Again went to do a little shopping. XD

As I was done with the shopping and went back to home, I almost got hit with another bicyclist from the corner. Ugh, it's nasty place to ride actually because of the narrow street and quick turn... not to mention that the thick bushes are blocking the view, so you can't see anything if or if not there was another person coming. Good thing that I was coming slowly from the downhill and that the other bicyclist didn't go fast. (However, he should have stayed on the right side of the street - from his p.o.v.)

Anyway, good thing nothing serious happened. Plus, it really was fun to bicycle. =D
